The Journey, Part 3
While living in vacation houses for over two months, we searched for somewhere to live on a more permanent basis. However, no local homeowners were willing to work with us since our previous home had not yet sold. Additionally, no long-term rental properties were available.
Whenever a long-term rental was available, it was either too small to suit our needs to was immediately taken by someone else who was looking. It became very evident that we were not the only ones looking for stable housing in the area. Nonetheless, things seemed to be getting worse and worse for us.
Moreover, just when it looked like we wouldn't be able to carry on anymore, at the last minute, a long-term rental opportunity opened up. While there were others interested in the property, we were the first in line because God opened it up on a day when no one else was looking. We toured the house and land around it, and it was a perfect fit for us. The rental application was approved within the week.
Finally, after months of being without permanent housing, it seemed like things would finally get back to normal However, little did we know that this was just the beginning of a new stage in our journey.
