North Platte Pen Pals - New Friends in United States

I am a divorced mom/grandma in Nebraska, working at a homeless shelter as a bookkeeper/admin assistant. I am a Democrat, seeking friends in Canada, mostly just to reach out to another country close the the USA. I firmly believe the saying, "You can never have too many friends." My kids, grandkids and mom all live close by. I've been a Nebraska Cornhusker since I was a kid and was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. I love the Denver Broncos and lived there for about 9 years in the 70's... was kind of a hippie, and love classic cars. Tried marijuana in the 70's, but not since... illegal in Nebraska. As I said I'm a Democrat who voted for Obama twice, voted for Hillary Clinton and am totally appalled at our president... no words to describe the frustration... I own my home, have an old 2005 Jeep Cherokee which I love to drive. My daughter is a sub-teacher in a very small school and getting her degree online at this time. My son-in-law works for Union Pacific RR at Bailey Yards, which is the largest rail classification yard in the world. They have 3 children, Keith is 10, Summer is 9 and Paige is 5. My son is 29, and works at the public schools here in the technology department. He's my personal computer "techie." We are preparing for the eclipse on Aug 21st because it will be in totality just 30 miles north at the daughter's house.
