I really just want to talk and listen to about everything and anything. If anything happens, well we'll cross that bridge then if it comes to those kinda of feelings. For now, I just want to exchange thoughts and feelings.

I thought this might be an interesting way to touch base with new people. I am a little wary of these on line
social sites. I have heard all kinds of stories about how worthless they are for actually meeting real down to
earth friendly people. I am NOT looking for a one night stand or anything to that effect either. Getting to know
someone takes time and it has to start with a friendly hello first. The bar scene is not my kind of thing either.
You may meet someone cool that way, but again...bars and alcohol aren't always the best mix for running into
the right kind of new friend, if you know what I mean.
I have been married and am now divorced. My children are grown and all independent adults who are a very important
part of my life. Family means everything to me. I am slow to trust and very opinionated quite often. I used to simply keep
my mouth shut, but I do not do that anymore. Free speech and all that, you know. I do not like posers or people who put on
a show just to get attention. If you know how to laugh and do not get offended if someone laughs at you, then that is a good thing. Looks are not a big deal to me. I do not care what label you wear or any of that either. To me, the best part about a person usually is on the inside anyway. I like dogs as far as pets go, but do not have one at the present time. I am OK with
cats, but snakes and all that kind of creep me out. I love the beach, but am not a good swimmer. My family and I enjoy camping
and do it a couple times a year. I like to cook, but truly enjoy having someone cook for me while we are together enjoying a good conversation. I love to read, my favorite author is Stephen King and I also write a fair amount of semi-decent poetry from
time to time...which I promise not to read to you at any point. My favorite snack is popcorn. Going to a movie means I also must
get popcorn to go with whatever we decide to see. I love anything starring Johnny Depp or Clive Owen. I also like off beat films like "Big Fish" or "Pulp Fiction"...I think Quentin Tarentino is a genus when it comes to film making. I am a complete "Wizard Of Oz" fan....that has been so since I was about 5 years old...the flying monkeys used to scare me so bad. I also love old films from
the 30s and 40s...like Bogart and Bacall classics. I like classic rock over most other music. Yes...I am a hair band fan. Motley Crue, Poison, Van Halen, Heart, Def Lepperd, Ozzy....just to name a few. I also like some country now and then too...Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Grecthen Wilson, and Toby Keith work for me. It depends on my mood as to what I choose to listen to. I do like to dance, but it has been a while since I have gotten to enjoy that kind of pleasure. One of my favorite things is walking on the beach in the early morning or late afternoon after the crowds have cleared out. Watching a storm out over the ocean is an amazing thing to see. I like thunderstorms late at night and scary movies too. Candlelight is relaxing and adds to the enjoyment of good company every time.
It is difficult to write something about yourself that sounds right to someone who has never met you. I will tell you that I do not
say anything that isn't true about myself though. I know many people do that on sites like this all the time. I am not the perfect height or the perfect weight. I never have been in Playboy or met anyone remotely famous. I like shoes...and wish I could buy many more than I actually have now, my favorite color is any shade of purple and no part of me is fake....except my shoulder length hair...which I change from light to dark brunette from time to time.
Anyway....this seems like I might be rambling a little too much. I do not have a recent picture to post and I will try and fix that
as soon as I get the chance to do so. My computer is old and doesn't have too many bells and whistles like some of the newer ones do. Having a printer and speakers is about all the luxury I can manage right now.
