Hello my name is Allen originally from the great State of Texas, 76 years old, I now live on a lake shoe outside Union City, Mi. since 99. Welcome to my world. I’m retired but not by choice. Am I bitter no but hurt “hell” yes as we all need a reason and purpose in order to maintain a homeostasis balance and that was taken from me. I served 16 years in the Navy on two ships and a number of Naval Air Stations as a Petty Officer First Class. I honor my brothers and sister who server this great land and morn those who have been taken from our ranks. I’m the second child and the first to attend college and made the Honor Roll. I grew up on what at the time was called the wrong side of the tracks where I learned lessons that would serve me throughout my life. I have walked on the edge of darkness summed up in a song by Johnny Cash “Sunday morning coming down,” a time that would make PTSD pale in comparison. After all I put myself through I was amazed to hear my doctor say, “You are in good health.” I think his medical degree is surely in question.
