I am a retired accountant, who lives alone, I have four adult children, broad range of interests - books, music, art, sport, writing, national & international affairs, history, the environment, and am currently a presenter on local community radio station after decades of involvement in community organisations. I have not traveled much, so I am keen to communicate with a friend [female preferred, male okay] from the more remote and/or outback areas of Australia who would like to begin a regular correspondence by email [or post if preferred] with a quiet-natured guy who has lived in southern Victoria most of his life.
I am basically seeking a fellow correspondent who enjoys writing [emailing] on a range of subjects, who simply would like to have a 'friend' from within Australia to share ideas, thoughts, even worries with. While I generally have family close at hand, I realise not all of us are so fortunate, hence one of the motives for my joining this group.
To be upfront, I'm not seeking a romantic or intimate relationship - I'm interested in those parts of Australia I've not seen, and probably nowadays, am unlikely to [have always been a bit of an armchair tourist, through circumstances]. and/or learning about life in other parts of the world.
