Hello my name is Jack. I am trying to find someone living in Cotacachi so I can get some onsite accurate information regarding the cost of living, swimming etc. Also I am wondering if it is relatively quiet there for sleeping? Here in the Philippines it is very hard to find somewhere where you can get a good night's sleep due to karaoke, loud music, barking dogs, roosters etc.

I am a Canadian currently staying in SE Asia for the winter and it is daily about 30C with humidity in the 75% range. With the humidity it feels like 95F and for me it is very uncomfortable.

I have been contemplating going to Cotacachi where it is 21C most days with humidity around 70% and around 10C at night. The city looks very clean and the temperature appeals to me. However I really love to swim for fitness. Is it possible to swim in or near Cotacachi? Are there any pools in the area and would the cold nights make them too cold to swim in?

Also I cannot seem to get a straight answer regarding the price of accommodation there. We do not want to live there just spend the winter. I am from Canada and love to live there except for the winter which is not pleasant. We would like a furnished apartment with one bedroom within a 15 or 20 minute walk to the main part of Cotacachi. Any information on the approximate cost for a 4 month term would be very much appreciated.
