My name is Isatu Bangura i was born on the 26 July 1994. I was raised by a single mother in a small rural town in sierra Leone, call portloko town that is part of the sixteen districts in sierra Leone, a cluster of small towns and villages, i spent 12 years there before leaving to attend my junior and senior secondary school in Freetown the capital city of Sierra Leone.
My relationship with the capital city of sierra Leone began in 2006, when i relocated from the province to Attended the Annie Walsh Memorial School one of oldest girls school in Sub-Saharan Africa and the first girls school in sierra Leone were i attended both junior and senior secondary school and sat to the West Africa Senior Secondary school Examination in 2011 and was unable to gain admission to the university that year i started my cause with a certificate in computer software and community development At the Obasanjo Youth Transformation College. I Later sat to the exam for the second time and because of my perseverance through out my early education and always ready to put smile in my mother face, i was able to meet the university requirement at University of Management and Technology (UNIMTECH) one of the outstanding universities in sierra Leone and also gain a departmental requirement for my dream cause.
I started with a Higher national diploma in Information and data processing for three years and gradated in 2015 with a credit because i was unable to pay for my BEC Degree in Computer science since i was care for by a single mother and i have two sidling that she is taking care for also , i started practicing my career as a data Entry Clerk at the International Recue Committee sierra Leone In the Girls Education Challenge project In Kenema district for six month. I enrol for my BSC in computer Science in 2016, I later resign from IRC and gain employments at the Save the children International Sierra Leone and work in the Position of monitoring Evaluation and Learning Assistances for nine months in the Food for Emergency Ebola Disease Support Project (FEEDS) in Kailahun district, and due to the demand of my BSC cause i resign and get a job with handicap International Sierra Leone in 2017 and work in the position of regional Data officer for Kenema Kono and Kailahun districts respectively.
During my work with handicap International station in Kenema district the Region district for the Eastern provinces in sierra i was able to have easy access to my cause, the project was Girls Education Challenge Transition(GEC-T) which was implemented for fours years with other partners Plan International, Action Aid, and Open University , Handicap International was the a leading partner in the Inclusive Education and i was able learn a lot about person leaving with disability and the project come to and End on the 31/7/2021 during my work in the Non Governmental Organization (NGO) have attending series of training on data management and also enrol at Institution of business Administration and Management (IBSA) college for a Short time cause on Project Management in 2017 to 2018 and graduated with a diploma in project management since i was working with different project i thought it feet to build my capacity so that i can be able to related well with project manager, so for the pass five I have over come many challenges to words my career as a data person and am still learning new things every day and on how to over come them. Am presently working as a data Analyst in Consultancy Firm of which as an organisation we fine for ourselves and by writing concept note and proposal to Donor Conduct Survey and i develop the tools using ODK and KOBO tool box also train enumerator on data quality and the proper use of electronic data collection the tool and base on my career that why i pursue to do master with AIU on Data Analysis management.
