I am interested in developing a real friendship (or maybe more) with a man in or from the Scottish Highlands. My family roots are there and I have been long fascinated with the country, it's people and culture... and history.
As for my interest in pen-pals, my parents met as my Dad was shipping out of the States (military- Korean War) and they wrote to each other for over a year. He married my mother when he returned to the States and they had been happily together for 60 years when Dad passed away. Writing is how they got to know each other...
"Writing" often used to be the way of it... I think it's a lost art...
I am Clan Shaw and I have traced my Scottish Highlander heritage as far back as the 1300's... Surely there is a Scotsman who would be interested in conversing with me...
