i am a humble young man seeking female friendship.

As a semi-retired man, I'm finding I am busier now than when I was working a full time job during the day and teaching classes at night. I suppose life expands to fill the time we are given. I enjoy writing, reading, hiking, taking care of my rescue pup, minor home remodeling projects, science and science fiction. I love any time I get to spend in the mountains (hence my username from my years living in Denver, Colorado), and near the ocean and out in the aspen groves. Sometimes I get energized in a group of people, but most often I prefer small gatherings of three or four people, or even better one-on-one. I am Myers-Briggs INFP type through and through. Years ago when my best friend would visit me in Denver, I would take her for a day hike back in the mountains. Crossing a beautiful mountain stream, we would each find a place to sit in quietness beside the bubbling water, sometimes for up to an hour. That shared silence was the most refreshing "conversation" we could have. I haven't done that in a few years; I miss it. I've been a vegetarian most of my adult life. I was a vegan for awhile, but missed chocolate chip cookies, the old fashioned kind. Well, the instructions called for a few sentences so I will close for now. If you've read this far, thank you.
