Sabaq'al'kher. Ismee Rob Hall was ana ishtgl fi A' Rumaylah fi 2003. I worked with the SOC guys at all of the Basra, kareeb maaml. (plants around Basra area), including the Water treatment plant at Quarmat Ali in the north of Basra.
I tried very had to speak Arabi and do pretty well, not having been to school. I went into Iraq as a contractor 5 days after the war started, and had many friends in A' Rumaylah, A' Zubayr, and Burjusia (?) I tried to learn one word (wahid kalimat, qul yoom) every day.
But now I am too old to travel. But I have many stories about Iraq. Because of my knowledge of Arabic, Islaam, and my grey hair, the Iraqi workers gave me the knickname Hadji
