Why does this feel like a dating website?
Since the form asked me so nicely to write at least 300 words, I'm going to go for it even though I feel like at least some of this should get the letter writing rolling. Clearly I am not fond of authority or being told what to do. :D
You probably already figured out I love puns and other stupid jokes.
Basic stats: 44 years old, female, single/never married, no kids. I was born just south of Chicago, I have lived all over the US in addition to 3 months in Spain and 5 months in Central African Republic. I was the youngest of 4 but there are only 3 of us left now. I like languages -- at different times I was conversational in Spanish and French. I did some cool things when I was younger but I'm not going to tell you what because we have to have something to talk about in our letters.
Loves: animals (particularly dogs), walking, popcorn, Pepsi, traveling (my profile pic is from an old prison in Philly), helping people.
I spend most of my time knitting and watching TV with a dog to each side of me, walking the dogs or hiking with them while listening to audiobooks. I love small places -- my tiny apartment is my safe place. I love gardening and often dream of retiring to rural Vermont on a small farm or homestead. Extra points if you know what a homestead is. <3
I follow the news, local and international. I know what's going on in the world and I care. I follow politics and have an opinion on everything but I'd love to hear yours, too. I'm not a shrinking violet; I am a 21st century woman who really wishes we still had the community that used to be ubiquitous.
I'm a pretty well rounded person, so I am interested in most things. I should probably mention I'm not a deist; if you are a science-denier or think your god picks which people will suffer, we're probably not a good match.
