I would like to meet with a true female or male penpal to chat online or by phone.

All of us have so many complexities it's really a bit difficult to try to convey who you are, and all you are, in this medium. What do I say about myself? I'm looking for a pen pal and not a relationship because I've rather given up on all of that. I've grown accustomed to being alone, I suppose. I'm an odd woman attracted to odd people and odd things.

I think the people I get along with best are other introverted souls, people who are loners, misfits, underdogs, the socially challenged, those who feel that surely they somehow have landed on the wrong planet and would just like to get back to where they really belong, because it isn't here.

I'm interested in observing rather than participating. If I go to an event where a lot of people are gathered it's mostly just to sit on the sidelines and people-watch, to observe other people's behaviors, to watch them having a good time. I'm quite happy just sitting back and taking it all in. I'd rather be the solitary soul committing random acts of kindness, like sliding a chocolate bar into the bag of a homeless person, or giving away things I've crocheted to both friends and strangers. I'm not really happy unless I'm giving and making others happy, I think.

I have a lot of interests. I read a lot, often times having two or three or four books going at the same time. I prefer non-fiction to fiction, though I do enjoy a good Robert McCammon novel, books by Kurt Vonnegut, Henry Miller, and classic literature.

I have a lot of quirky interests. I'm deeply interested in metaphysics, the occult, ancient, esoteric knowledge, mysticism, and spirituality in general. Please don't let the word "occult" rattle you, it simply refers to "hidden knowledge". I'm certainly not a practitioner of black magic, and fully believe everything that you do will come back to you, so I only do good.

A lot of the reading I do is on metaphysics. I am interested in hermetic philosophy and the Law of Attraction, not the shallow stuff, like The Secret, but the deeper Universal Truths behind it all.

I do mundane things as well. I love to bike ride and crochet and work jigsaw puzzles. I love independent and foreign films and horror movies. I love all kinds of music, classic rock, folk music, the blues, hip hop, reggae, country. I know a lot about music but don't really keep up with the current music scene.

If I had my druthers I'd live deep in the country somewhere, far from the madding crowd. I'm overwhelmed by all the technology we have available these days. I don't have a tablet, an Iphone, or an MP3 player. I have a cell phone but it hasn't had minutes on it in ages. When I leave the house to go somewhere I am unplugged, and I like it that way. I have an old TV and reception through a TV antennae. In short, I am not a fan of the modern world and don't really keep up.

I write and perform slam poetry occasionally. My friends are creative types, poets, artists, painters, singers, musicians, actors. I'm liberal and open-minded. I'm fond of Sagattarian men. I like corresponding with men and will probably be less than enthusiastic in responding to women. Write to me if you have deep thoughts about deep things, a dark, sick and twisted sense of humor, and are not easily offended. I will pretty much talk about anything with the right person.
