I’m looking forward for a serious relationship that can us to marriage

I come from a somewhat neurotic family where only a couple members have had sufficient social skills to live a normal life. Being the youngest, I had to deal with that sort of thing, so I ran away as a child and defoo'd to get away from abuse. This means I'm not very family oriented—however I don't have anything against families or children if they aren't manipulative.

I retired from the military reserves and I earned almost a masters degree graduate in law just for the heck of it. My careers have not been ones requiring degrees, though, and I've been a trucker, a baker, and a corrections officer. I'm very law abiding, I dislike drugs, and I manage my money smartly. I won't deal with people who have unhealthy ways such as smoking or drug use.
As you can see here, I like to write and write and write, and I can a bit of a grammar/punctuation cop. I lean conservative politically, and I emphasize self-reliance and accountability for what one says.

I'm happily married and like to travel—even internationally. I get a lot of "lonely" women here. If I wanted dates or sexual relationships, I'd join one of those kinds of sites! I was under the impression that this was a penpal site but I keep getting (probably for profit) sensual female solicitations here. Although I'm basically happy, my life could be better with people I could trust who are clear thinkers and have their emotions in check. I also have no significant disabilities or health problems. I'm happiest alone, but have plenty of confidence if needed to deal with a group. [Note: the field above will not allow me to state that I dislike TV.] Hobbies: raise chickens, world travel, build computers, beekeeping, gardening and fruit trees, cheap but smart living, and learning. I get interested in just about anything very easily, but I tend to shun conspiracy theories e.g. "flat earth" or non-mainstream religions.
You may not have gotten this impression so far from what I wrote and how I wrote it, but actually my personality is dominated by humor. I'm a lover of comedy, such as wisecracks, absurdity, and wit and I will often even use clever wisecracks in place of "hello". Not campy or obscene stuff please, fart jokes=:(. No humor that puts people down unless you are sure they don't mind. I even like comedy or novelty music.
My biggest passion is geography and I have been to many countries. The best candidates (not exclusively, though) are people in other countries that will tell me what it's like there!
